Simple Work Timer FAQ
Simple Work Timer is a browser-based timer for a focused 8-hour workday. It combines count down and count up modes, hourly checkpoints, and a persistent task list without requiring an account.
Is the work timer private?
Yes. The timer is private by default. Your timer progress, hourly checkpoint state, sound preference, and task list are stored in your browser. The app does not send task names or timer state to a server.
Does it require an account?
No. You can open the page and start the timer immediately. There is no signup flow, login screen, email address, password, or workspace setup.
Where are tasks stored?
Tasks are stored locally in your browser using local storage. They are not deleted automatically when a new calendar day begins, so you can keep longer-running tasks until you finish or remove them yourself.
What is an 8-hour workday timer?
It is a timer for a standard 8-hour workday. You can count down from 8 hours or count up from 0, and the timer divides the day into eight hourly checkpoints so you can see progress at a glance.
Is this a Pomodoro timer?
No. It is not built around short Pomodoro intervals. It is designed for people who want a simple full-day work timer with hourly progress checkpoints and a lightweight task list.
